Teen DBT Group

We are offering a teen DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) group, where we offer a supportive, skill-building environment where teens can learn practical tools to manage emotions, improve relationships, and cope with stress in healthier ways. Through group discussions, role-playing, and hands-on exercises, teens will develop key DBT skills, including:

Mindfulness

Techniques to stay present and focused, reducing impulsivity and increasing emotional awareness.

Interpersonal Effectiveness

Skills to communicate clearly, set healthy boundaries, and navigate social challenges.

Emotion Regulation

Tools to identify and manage intense emotions more effectively, helping teens feel more in control.

Radical Acceptance

Fully accepting reality as it is, without judgment or resistance. This doesn't mean approval of difficult circumstances, but rather acknowledging that the situation is what it is, which can reduce emotional suffering and allow for a more peaceful mindset.

Distress Tolerance

Strategies for handling difficult situations without making things worse, building resilience during tough times.

Walking the Middle Path

This skill teaches teens how to find balance and avoid extremes in thinking and behavior.  Helping to reduce emotional conflict and promotes more balanced, healthier perspectives in relationships and self-view.

Our Teen DBT group provides a safe, non-judgmental space for teens to connect with others facing similar struggles. Led by trained professionals, our group fosters a sense of belonging and empowerment, while helping teens build confidence in their ability to create positive change.
