Marc Bruckner
Therapist
If you’re feeling anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure about where you’re headed, therapy can offer a place to slow things down and make sense of what’s happening. Marc works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, identity, trauma, and questions about meaning and purpose. His goal is to help clients better understand themselves while creating meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
Marc’s style is warm, collaborative, and curious. He helps clients explore the patterns behind their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships while also developing practical skills for responding to life differently. Rather than approaching therapy with a one-size-fits-all formula, Marc believes the work should be shaped around each person’s needs, goals, personality, and experiences. Humans are inconveniently complex like that.
His approach draws from mindfulness-based practices, relational therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based interventions. With over 20 years experience as a teacher and coach, Marc has cultivated his inherent ability to integrate these approaches thoughtfully, focusing on what is most useful for the individual sitting across from him.
Marc also brings a cross-cultural perspective shaped by extensive travel and experiences living and working abroad. These experiences have deepened his appreciation for the many different ways people understand themselves, their relationships, and the world around them.
Above all, Marc wants clients to feel respected, understood, and comfortable enough to be honest about what is really happening in their lives. He sees therapy as more than a way to simply feel better. It can be an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, recognize what may be keeping you stuck, and develop greater freedom in choosing how you want to live.
