Message from Colleen Todd

Therapy Matters was born from a deep understanding of the gaps in the mental health care system. As a psychotherapist, I witnessed firsthand how many individuals struggled to access appropriate, affordable care in Boulder County. Some clients needed more than a weekly therapy session to manage conditions like panic disorder, severe depression, or bipolar disorder, yet there were no available treatment options to bridge the gap. Others who had previously required higher levels of care lacked a structured transition before stepping down to traditional outpatient therapy.

To meet these needs, I created Elevated Care, a flexible program offering 3 to 6 hours of custom-tailored support each week, providing clients with critical stepping stones during times of crisis. I also recognized that when someone is in mental health distress, logistical challenges—like legal paperwork, medical management, or financial strain—can intensify the crisis. To address this, we offer Resourcing Sessions, where clients work with a resourcing therapist to organize essential tasks, such as gathering documents for legal proceedings or tracking medical appointments for chronic health conditions.

At Therapy Matters, we are committed to continuously innovating to ensure that every client receives the right level of care. In addition to individual therapy, we offer specialized programs like Kinnect Club for social skills development and CBIT for tic management. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our services. We are grateful you are here and look forward to creating a treatment plan that is uniquely tailored to your needs.
